ReplyDeleteDaisy - Within this movie Shakilus human rights were not met, as he never had a chance to live his life as it was taken away from him by a gang killing. Sam had no privacy due to her boyfriend going through her phone, taking Shakilus number from out of her phone book.

Deletegood points raised and linked to Rights, well done
DeleteShakilus's human right's were not when he was murder because people have the right to life and to dignity and this meant that his human rights where breached. Sam was vunerable and Danny toke advantage of how low her confidence was. She ended up taking his right to life. Things such as giving Sam more support may have prevented this. I think that Sams privacy was breached because Danny was going through her phone, this lead to him seeing the messages and Shakilus's being killed. - Leah

DeleteFrom Kara, Shakilus' human rights were not met when he was murdered as the right to life was taken away from him. Also in this movie it shows the girls human rights been taken away from her as she didnt have the right of privacy as her boyfriend took her phone without her right. Every human right should be met to every individual as its unfair on if certain people get the human rights and others dont. When someones human rights are not met its not fair on them as a person and could even risk there life as this docummentary shows a perfect example of it. The protection of police and other emergency help services could help protect everyones human rights.

DeleteCharlie – Shakilus’ human rights were not met as he was denied his right to life. He was stabbed several times which lead to his death at 16 years old. If Sam asked for help instead of just doing what her boyfriend told her out of fear, she would have gotten some support and the situation would have been dealt with properly. Danny took advantage of her; Sam was not given her human right to privacy as he was going through her text messages, this led to the discovery of her and Shakilus meeting up and speaking which angered her boyfriend to eh point of killing him.
ReplyDeletegood understanding of Rights and link to the documentary
DeleteAfter watching the documentary i felt that shakilus Townsend story shows a clear understanding off human rights. skailus was only 16 years old and only recently came out of prison and decided to take the right path and get an interview for college he no longer wanted to be in a gang so his right of education was met he finally wanted to live his life positively and move on to better things. The girl Sam who was involved with the death of shakilus Towsend had a very dominating boyfriend (Danny) and her right to privacy was taken away from her as Danny had taken her phone as he knew something was suspicious and that’s how he found out about shakilus. I think this a very effective story as it is true and things like this can happen. shakilus who was led to his murder never sore it coming he put his trust in Sam and also thought of her as his girlfriend but Sam had done this as she seemed as she was threatened by Danny. from Maggie-may
ReplyDeleteYou show good understanding of this very real experience and link to Rights

ReplyDeleteShakilus’s was entitled to his right to life but he had it taken away from him as he was killed by a group of young teenagers. In the future this could be prevented by more support given to Sam and other teenagers about the importance of knife crime and gang violence. Sam’s human rights were breached by Danny looking through her phone; there were consequences to this as Shakilus’s was murdered by the situation.
A good response but who is this from?

ReplyDeleteShakilus’s had the right to life and it was breached he was murdered. He was killed by a group of heartless teenagers.
In the future this could be prevented by making teenagers more aware by the importance of knife and gang crime.
Danny breached Sam’s human rights by going through her phone without her permission this broke her privacy human rights.
There were consequences to this as shak was killed and all his family are grieving and his life has been taken away for no reason by some thugs.

A strong response to a very powerful documentary based on a real life experience that should not have happened.
ReplyDeleteZoe - My murder Shakilus's human rights was broken because he was tortured (by the beating) and was left for dead so his right to life was broken. I found that the video shows how you can't trust everyone you meet. Therefore there was several human rights broken.
ReplyDeleteAnother human right broken was the right for privacy, Danny had looked at Sam's phone and went down it, this shows that there was no trust in the relationship and she may have felt uncomfortable about the incident.
I felt that the murder was unnecessary and that there should have been a talk, well a more convincing talk between Danny and Sam.
I think that in the future incidents like this can be avoided with my CCTV around so the police can see the incident and have evidence to prosecute the criminals.
another very powerful response and personal views on this, iclearly linking which Rights were breached and ways to help prevent this and fight for justice in the future. well done Zoe
DeleteShakilus's right to life were taken away because he was beaten to death, from my opinion i believe that the offenders shouldn't have any rights and should be taken from them.
ReplyDeleteSamantha's rights were taken from her when her boyfriend decided to go through her phone without her permission which also falls into domestic violence abuse and the right to privacy

ReplyDeleteIn my murder shakilius human rights was not met because he didn’t have right the right to privacy and also he didn’t have the right to life mainly because he was getting threats from his phone by a private number and also Samantha’s boyfriend wanted to know everything about him which wasn’t right. And also the right to privacy links in with when Samantha’s boyfriend looks through her phone with without her permission. and i can also say there were some domestic abuse happening in that movie.Such as when he was controlling her everytime.
