PROJECT: FIVE WAYS TO WELLBEING
This project is linked to units 3 and 9 of the BTEC Level Two Diploma in health and social care; Individual Needs and Creative/therapeutic activities in Health and Social Care. The project will focus on each of the five ways to wellbeing, including:
- ACTIVE
- GIVE
- CONNECT
- LEARN
- TAKE NOTICE
By exploring these five ways to wellbeing students will be able to apply understanding to individual needs and take part/plan activities that can be used in health and social care, all linking to one or more of the ways to wellbeing. Students will also carry out risk assessments (linked to our e-unit). The Five Ways to Wellbeing initiative is being applied to health and social care services in a large scale, so why not apply this to your learning experience to give you the tools you need for the workplace.
The project will end with an Event you will plan and deliver. Students last year also planned their own Event. See link here to find out about what they did: Students embrace wellbeing
Holiday Homework! Please 'take notice '...
ReplyDeleteGo for a walk and take notice of the surroundings. I want you all to submit a photo and paragraph saying what you got from doing this...
Ideas: jump in puddles, look at a rainbow, walk in snow, make snow angels, look at the changing colours in leaves, walk in the woods, etc. I want to put your pics on here so please email me them :-)
Welcome back after your Christmas Break :-). We will be working hard this week to plan a mini five ways to wellbeing event (to be held next week). This will round off this project. We will then be starting our 'Fair Play' project and e-safety unit.
