Becky- I think if the prisoners have done rape, murder, of physically hurt someone then they are not allowed the right ti vote, they are already inside and they do not know what is going on in the outside world. They are in there for a reason as they have took someone else’s life, they should not have the right to vote on anything as they have done wrong. But on the other hand if you are in there less than a year you have the right to voter, as you have not took someone else right away from them. this is what I think
ReplyDeleteYour view falls in well with government changes and debates at the moment Becky
ReplyDeleteTamsin - I think that prisoners with have low sentence such as 12 months can have the right to vote for the petty crimes they have commited but any extreme crimes that have been commited such as rapes, murders etc.. these prisoners shouldnt have the right to vote. That is my opinion :)
ReplyDeletethis debate opened my eyes up to alot. in my opinion prisoners do not no whats going on outside as there in prison, and personally the people that are in their for murder or rape are sick in the head and shouldnt have the right to vote in any account, but once theyve finished their sentence, they have done their time and everyones satisfied then they can do what they want. kara crearer
